Yu Yureka Black Android Nougat 7.1.1 update released: How to install the update

Staying true to its principle of giving users the latest technology in hand, YU Mobiles, a subsidiary of Micromax Informatics, has now started rolling out the Android Nougat-7.1.1 update for its Yureka Black smartphone users.

"YU is committed towards delivering a robust and seamless OS capability for its users. The teams at YU have brought that commitment alive and the update is being rolled out starting today," the company said in a statement.
In any case, Yureka Black users are finally receiving Android 7.1.1. Nougat update and will now basically be moved from Android Marshmallow to the new OS.

Yureka Black users can download the Nougat update by opening Settings> Software update> download the update and install it. The update is being rolled out in the form of an OTA update. So, the rollout will happen in phases and it could be that users will receive the update at different timings.

Besides that, Yureka Black users will now get to experience Android Nougat 7.1.1 and its features hands-on. Well, the update will bring features like split-screen multitasking, recent apps button, improved notifications, direct reply, quick settings, extended battery life and more. The overall user experience will change though. It will be more enhanced we must say.

Apart from that, just to recall Yu made a comeback with the new Yureka Black smartphone in June this year. The smartphone was launched in all black color variant and came in at a price Rs. 8,999.

The phone is backed by a 3000mAh battery and currently runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The smartphone sports a 5-inch full-HD IPS display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. The home button at the front also doubles up as a fingerprint sensor.

The device is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC which is again paired with 4GB RAM. The device offers 32GB of internal storage and it is further expandable up to 64GB via microSD card. As for the optics, the Yureka Black is equipped with a 13MP rear camera along with dual LED flash. At the front, there is an 8MP camera with flash as well. The smartphone is exclusively available on Flipkart.
