Yu is fond of giving surprises to its users. Yu is giving users of Yureka and the Yureka Plus, updates for the Android 5.1 Lollipop based Cyanogen OS 12.1 update. The Android 5.1 Lollipop was released almost 5 months ago which several phone manufacturers are releasing to their phone users.

The new update for the Yureka phones brings several new features, including a new launcher that has been redesigned for one-handed use, support for new codecs for video and audio playback, a thermal control, as well as a LiveDisplay feature that adjusts your screen based on environmental conditions. The Yu Yuphoria smarphone will also receive a similar set of updates.
