Ziox Mobiles is a domestic brand with its headquarters in New Delhi. The company aims at offering products at affordable price points to the consumers. The CEO of Ziox Mobiles Mr. Deepak Kabu is focusing to take this brand to new heights in the country's mobile market. We at Gizbot received the response from Ziox Mobiles CEO regarding their plans for the future.
How are you planning to make Ziox Mobiles one of the top five players in India?
The Indian market is a very dynamic market in terms of consumer demands as well as the competition. For Ziox Mobiles, our key focus remains to match the needs of the consumers. Customer satisfaction is what defines Ziox's after-sales services. Being available on the right touch points, we make sure that customers are able to get their mobile solutions and reach out to us, easily.
Furthermore, we are consistent on extending our reach expeditiously. The strategy to elevate our brand presence will be to essentially target the unexplored rural and semi-urban customers with an extensively wide yet innovative product range, which will be pocket-friendly and loaded with the latest technology.
We believe that the path we are on, with right offerings at right and affordable prices, Ziox will create an image as a perfect enabler to the driver the rural and semi-urban Indian consumers onto a digital platform. Currently, we have established more than 850+ service centers of Ziox across India, even in Tier 2 and Tier 3 zones; and continue to grow across geographies and social classes.
Are you focusing on the affordable smartphone segment or 4G feature phone market?
We are focussing on both the segments, smartphones and 4G feature phones. And as far as 4G feature phone markets are concerned, we are currently working on it.
How do you think you can compete with brands such as Xiaomi and Oppo?
Ziox is a customer loyal brand, packaged with the right price & latest technology that enables a strong connection with consumers. We are also steadfast in introducing our brand's products that will redefine the quality of cost-effective offerings, against the competing brands.
What unique factor will Ziox products have in order to compete with the other dominant brands?
Our products are a redefinition of the level of quality and cost-effective offerings in India. The market is glutted with brands that offer premium product offerings at most premium prices and that's where Ziox marks a change. We prioritize providing uncompromising quality, integrated with high-end technology. Our vision is to bridge the gap between consumer demands and the high-end technology.
How about the after sales service for the Ziox products?
After-sales has always been our signature aspect of Ziox. If a customer comes across any issue regarding the product or any damage occurs, customers can reach out to the Ziox's service center nearest to them and Ziox's adept team will find the most affirmative solutions to the customers. We highly focus on customer loyalty, and hence, we have introduced a 111 replacement policy that instills the trust among our customers.
Are you going to stick to the online market or make your products available offline as well?
Ziox has already marked and effective offline presence, that too in its initial years. We have established a strong foothold in the offline market. Now we concentrate on expanding our presence on online platforms as well. Essentially, the idea behind this online presence is to present the customers with a clutter-free market and easy reach. As a part of our larger national growth strategy, we are aggressively expanding our business with Tier 2 and Tier 3 Locations and not focussing on online very strongly.
How many markets share (%) are you looking to capture in this FY 2018-19?
Our progress has been exponential with the marketing and sales dimension. Today we sell about 5 lakh handsets per month and steadily we keep on increasing our volume in 3,000 to 4,500 model categories. In the year 2018-19, we aim to capture 5-6% share in the market and create a benchmark with less or no competition in future.
Which cities are your priorities (Tier1, 2, 3 or tier 4)?
Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets have always been our priority, the future of Mobile market remains with these unexplored markets. We have seen a major transformation of the smaller cities the emerging retail markets. Our key focussed regions include UP, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Bihar, Assam, Maharashtra, Gujarat, J&K.
A number of products line-up this year (Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4)?
Building upon the huge success of Duopix and Astra series, we plan to come up with various innovative feature phone models as well; such as 4G feature phones.
How many will be feature phones and smartphones?
Our portfolio is very diverse and extensive. Additionally, our on-going progress of building up a cost-effective and unique portfolio contains 40% smartphones and 60% feature phones. Our upcoming products in the pipeline are equipped with advanced, enhanced and more innovative features than the present ones.
