ZTE Nubia X8 Smartphone with Touch Sensitive Volume Rockers Leaked: Expected To Launch On October 15

In this highly competitive smartphone market, one of the most important ways to stay relevant is by including some unique out of the box innovations which can help users associate with a brand. And ZTE is supposedly on the right path with their upcoming Nubia handset.

Apparently ZTE is one of those Chinese OEM who is always trying out something new now and then. With three brands - ZTE, Nubia & Axon - in the range, the company has a larger no of devices catering each and every segment of the market.

While the ZTE brand follows a philosophy of VFM (similar to Xiaomi, OP2), the Nubia and Axon brands are mainly targeted at the premium segment. Needless to say that the Chinese OEM spends most its R&D money on these two sub brands.

In an all new set of leaked images posted on the Weibo by ZTE officials, the upcoming Nubia X8 was seen in full glory today sporting rather odd volume rockers. Unlike the protruding ‘clicky' ones which most of you are frequented too, this new Nubia devices sports touch sensitive volume rockers!
While this may not be a ground breaking innovation by any means, it is definitely enough to become the USP of Nubia X8 in the market.

The power button too doesn't appear to be like the one most are used to. In fact its placed rather deep into a ditch! Hence, it won't be surprising to see these power buttons being touch sensitive like the volume.

Previous leaks had indicated that the Nubia X8 will come in 6 inch Quad HD (2560x1440) display with a bezel less design. Under the hood will be a 4GB of RAM and 32/64GB of internal storage. The images of the alleged device which got leaked back in May, hinted at a presence of a Fingerprint Sensor just below the rear camera.

However the images that got leaked today via official quarters doesn't show the Fingerprint sensor below the camera. Then where is?

One of the probable rumors is that ZTE will be including the Fingerprint sensor on the trademark Halo button on the front of the device. However there's also a slight possibility of ZTE including it in the rather odd power button on the side of the device. What do you think?
