It has been quite sometime since Microsoft acquired Nokia's smartphone division, although they haven't released any flagship phones yet but instead come out with more budget friendly phones.

This trend seems to be continuing with their latest release the Nokia 215. A phone which cost just $29 and is supposedly a smartphone. Microsoft says that this is the most affordable smartphone till date. The phone will be able to run infamous apps like Facebook, Twitter, Messenger, Bing Search, and Opera Mini which will give this budget friendly phones owners a chance to browse and share while on the move.

Nokia 215: Microsoft's Cheapest Connected Phone Launched

One downfall the tech analysts found in this phone that Nokia 215 will only support 2G networks.

While, Nokia 215 is going to be primarily marketed in emerging markets, the phone features a 2.4-inch 320x240 pixel display. The primary camera is 0.3MP and it comes with an LED flash as well.

Microsoft wishes to ensure that their phones will take a short time to charge and will also last long on that charge as the company claims that Nokia 215 offers 29 days of standby time. Further, there is MP3, FM, Bluetooth and more. The entry-level smartphone will begin its roll-out later this quarter, starting first in the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe.
