Nokia 3 inch windows phone with no front buttons
There have been speculations in the gadget world that Nokia is working on a new Windows based smart phone device. The phone will have a 3 inch display and one notable thing is that it is rumoured to have no physical buttons on the front panel.
At the launch of Nokia Lumia 710 the reviewers got a sneak peek of the 3 inch windows device. Boored AtWork site officials said that the device looked like a pocket tablet like device. Nokia has sent out invitations for a special event which will be held during the Consumer electronics show of 2012 which will be held in Las Vegas in January. The invitation contained hints of the new device and it clearly stated that it is a Windows phone centric event. Nokia is also set to launch another Windows phone earlier next year. The phone will be launched as a joint venture between Nokia and T Mobile.
There are certain blogs that has posted some pictures of the claimed device. The authenticity of the pictures is not known. What we can make up from the available pictures is that the device is extremely compact and features a sufficiently big touch screen in the front. There is neither a keypad nor even a navigation button, so all the controls will be via touch screen. The operating system will be Windows mobile.
Microsoft has already made their plans to create to introduce tablets which will be based on Windows 8 operating system. But to see a windows phone based tablet will be an entirely different thing. It is also rumoured that the device will come equipped with a fitness tracker too. The reason for this is the similarity of the device in appearance with Motorola ACTV and other such devices. If that is the case then the device will cause a big stir in the gadget world.
Till now no further updates on the device or its pricing are available as for now. The photo published in the blog appears to be that of the beta version of the device which is in the hands of Nokia USA President Chris Weber. That means that the device is already being manufactured, so there won’t be much further delay for it to hit the stores. The users could get their hands on this device may be as early as January mid of next year.
