It's April Fool's day and Nokia has already made most of fans go crazy by posting its revamped handset called by the model name Nokia 3310. Samsung and HTC also announced their jokes yesterday itself, but what Nokia did was pretty amazing and impressive as well.
The company said that the most popular and classic handset Nokia 3310, which was launched 14 years ago, would be redesigned with higher and premium specs. Nokia 3310 was such a hit phone which sold no less than 125 million units.
According to Nokia, the new 3310 would come with the company's popular 41-megapixel rear-facing camera that features PureView imaging capabilities. It would also pack a Carl Zeiss lens and Xenon flash. The device will run a "modified version of Windows 8 to fit the unique 'ClearDiamond' three-inch touch screen."
Nokia 3310, aswill come equipped with a dual-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD memory card.
In terms of buttons, three "soft-touch" navigation keys are also incorporated in the device. These buttons will direct the users to Windows Phone 'Home', Start Screen and menu.
Moreover, there will be two variants of Nokia 3310 available on the market, but the smartphone will initially be released with only 3G support. Another LTE-enabled version will go on sale later this year.
Nokia has confirmed that the new 3310 smartphone will come pre-loaded with LiveTiles and App Folders, as well as MS Office, Xbox Games, Outlook and OneDrive that offers 7GB free cloud storage out of the box.

"I'm really excited that we've found a way to marry our innovative PureView technology with such a beloved device. With its durable design and iconic look, we think even more people will enjoy our signature PureView magic," said Juha Alakarhu, Nokia head of imaging technologies.
The device measures 113 x 48 x 22mm and weighs 133g.
