Is this Nokia Catwalk? The Aluminum Styled WP8 Lumia
Nokia has apparently testing an aluminum ducked handset commonly known by the name of' Catwalk'. The handset, which has been swirling on the internet for a long time, is set to appear in the US market sometime this summer, as per multiple reports. No one has seen the actual device yet, but doesn't mean that Gizbot just stop discussing about so -called ‘Catwalk'.
According to a new rumor, the first alleged shot of metal chassis styled ‘Catwalk' has been made available online (via Chinese site Baidu). Going by the first look of the device, it is a fusion of polycarbonate shell and metal styled body. Immediately, it is hard to recognize that the device is even made from aluminum. The handset is not typical looking Lumia device, at least from rear back side.
The removable back cover is made from plastic, as it should support wireless charging. One can see a big change in the way Nokia has change the positioning around the camera. The device indeed looks thinner, and lighter than the Nokia Lumia 920. You can find USB 2.0 port and 3.55 mm headphone jack on the top. The speaker grills on the ‘Catwalk' has similarity with the unannounced Nokia Lumia 928.
It is believed that the Nokia Lumia 928 and this very device i.e. ‘Catwalk' could be one single device. But going by the design sense behind the ‘Catwalk', one has say that both devices are different from each other considering the Nokia Lumia 928 is more on the lines of Lumia 920. While, the Catwalk has distinctive styling, and may flaunt aluminum styled body. The internal specifications are still not out yet, but multiple - reports suggest that the handset will arrive with a 41-mega pixel rear camera on the back. It will have a 4.5-inch AMOLED display, NFC, Quad -Core processor, Windows Phone 8, Wi-Fi, 3G, 4G LTE, NFC, expandable memory, and large battery life.
Take this above mentioned information with a grain of salt because Nokia could be making a special variant of Lumia 928 for Chinese market. Or this very device could an early prototype device of the ‘Catwalk'. Stay tuned to GizBot.
