While Motorola's second outing as a handset maker seemed to have worked wonders for the brand, Nokia, on the other hand, slipped down even further. The famed mobile phone maker, now a part of Microsoft Group, is surely not having a gala time.

With losing market share in key Asian markets, and on top of it excessive competition from unknown Chinese brands, the dominant brand is now looking to regain consumers' faith with two upcoming Windows Phone 8.1 running handsets. Yes, you hard it right!

Nokia Could Launch Lumia 830, Lumia 730 at IFA 2014

Microsoft Devices has informed that they will hold a press conference at IFA 2014 in Berlin, on September 4. While the company hardly acknowledged which new device or devices will be launched next month, the invite says it all.

The inside scoop on the upcoming Windows-powered handsets continue to spread rumors and speculations like anything.

Notably, the invite to the event asks users if you're "ready for more". It is learnt that Nokia could launched its much hyped Lumia 830 (codenamed Tesla). The upcoming Lumia 830 will feature a 4.5-inch 720p display, 20MP PureView camera, a microSD card slot, 16GB of on-board storage and more. Other expected features include: LTE support and Windows Phone 8.1 mobile OS under the hood.

The other side of the story is even more exciting. The invite further reads "Join us for more face time". This could possibly be a hint at the upcoming "selfie phone". Rumors has it Microsoft is keen to launch the Lumia 730 with an exceptional front-facing camera.

Reportedly, it will flaunt a 4.7-inch 720p HD display, 5 MP front-facing camera, 6.7 MP rear-facing camera, Snapdragon 400 processor, 1 GB of RAM, and 8 GB of expandable internal memory. It will be a mid-range handset. Similarly, HTC is also going to launch a mid-end Android handset with a great front-facing camera in the coming days to come.

It remains to be seen whether Nokia's upcoming Windows handsets will be well received by consumers in Asia, particularly Indian users. The N95 maker recently launched the low-end Lumia 530 in the Indian market. At Rs. 7,300, the new phone is the most cost effective handset under the Lumia series.
