Nokia Lumia 1020 with 41MP Monster, OIS And Pro Camera App Launched: All That You Need to Know

    The Finnish giant has finally made Nokia Lumia 1020 official. The 41MP market is indeed a critical device for Nokia. The tech vendor says the phone has "the second generation Nokia's massive 41-megapixel sensor and optical image stabilisation (OIS) to smash the benchmarks of smartphone."

    The first generation 808 PureView missed out on features like optical image stabilization and was too bulky to handle. This time around, Nokia did an exceptional job in trimming the fat and made Lumia 1020 a great travel companion. This device is a complete camera phone with next-gen 41-mega pixel camera sensor powered by Zeiss optics with six lenses and OIS.

    Talking about the internal specifications, the phone boasts of a 4.5-inch AMOLED WXGA display giving resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels. It features 1.5 GHz dual -core Snapdragon S4 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. In addition to ROM, users can take advantage of 7GB free SkyDrive cloud storage. As mentioned earlier, the camera sensor is huge and stands at 41-mega pixels. Instead of standard camera interface, the company introduced Nokia Pro Camera app. There's a 1.2-mega pixel wide angle front facing camera. The handset supports 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, NFC and a 2000mAh Li Ion battery.

    Nokia Pro Camera

    With Nokia Lumia 1020, the tech vendor introduced a new camera app called Nokia Pro Camera. Is it all about fresh camera interface? To some extent, yes, the Pro Camera app let you make changes to you photos in a more creative way. The app will give you an option to play with the camera settings. As seen in the image, the newly introduced concentric circle system let you change ISO speed, Focus, White balance and exposure. Videos can be shot in 1080p at 30 frames per second at 4X digital zoom. The Nokia Pro Camera app is not restricted to Lumia 1020, but it is coming to other Lumia handsets: 920,925 and 928. The Pro Camera app let you capture photos in dual mode. You can take images in full resolution and take images in PureView mode.

    Optical Image Stabilization (OIS)
