Nokia's cheapest Windows Phone 8 handset so far, Lumia 620 has already been launched online at Rs 14,999 and is expected to hit Indian retail stores in India, anytime now. The smartphone is anticipated by the Finnish giant to sell like hot cakes in India and across the world, owing to its vivid UI and exclusive software features.
But there is one more thing, which Nokia might offer along the handset, to add a USP to the Windows powered device. Well, if you are scratching your head, guessing on what feature to expect from the Lumia series creator, please be informed its nothing else but a new accessory. Yes! Reportedly, the Finish company has introduced a new protective shell that can shield your newly bought Lumia 620 from various environmental effects.
According to NokiaConversations latest report, Nokia has introduced a new Lumia 620 protective shell (CC-3061), a brand new handset case which comes with the technology of IP54 certified shell, which will protect your smartphone from dust and splashes of water.
Commenting on the same, Tells Harri Vuolle, Lumia Product Manager at Nokia reportedly said, "The Nokia Lumia 620 is such a beautiful device, we wanted to honour the design of the phone while maintaining the same shape and design that fits perfectly in the hand."
Basically, the shell case only replaces the existing back cover of the phone and therefore, the looks of the device is not compromised. Further, the gaps between the camera window and the shell and the gaps between Display and the shell, are better sealed to prevent natural elements from entering in.
Also, the mesh that covers the loudspeaker is denser to provide extra protection. The shell is a combination of rugged interior, made of polycarbonate and a more flexible and soft exterior, made of TPSiV. The marriage between the two layers not only makes your smartphone more resilient to impact but also easy to grip.
Harri explains. "While the protective shell does not make your Lumia 620 indestructible or 100% waterproof, it's ideal for people who enjoy active lifestyle where working up a sweat, getting caught up in a rain or dropping the phone can be a regular occurrence. It's also suits people who want to use their smartphone at work, even if it's a dusty, damp environment."
Let's have a look at the specifications of the smartphone.
Lumia 620 comes with a 3.8 inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen display, 1GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, 512MB RAM, 8GB internal storage, 5MP rear camera, VGA front camera, NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 1,300 mAh battery. Lumia 620 will come in Magenta, Yellow, Cyan, White and Black color variants.
Moreover, Lumia 620 comes preloaded with exclusive applications including Nokia Drive, CityLens, Nokia Maps, MixRadio and more as the other smartphones in the lineup.
