Nokia Lumia 630 Dual Announced in India At Rs 11,500: 5 Things You Need to Know

Nokia has finally launched its latest Dual SIM handset dubbed as Lumia 630 at the price of Rs. 11,500 in India. It is one of the first phones to run on Microsoft's latest Windows Phone 8.1 OS. The company said that the device would hit the stores starting May 14th. The company also said that the single SIM variant of the Lumia 630 would be launched later this month at the price of Rs. 10,500.

This is also the first phone with comes with a number of new features like the Word Flow, the fastest keyboard around, the all-new Action Center and more. You will also be able to customize your home screen distinctly by adding a background photo to see your real-time Live Tiles in the phone.

The Lumia 630 comes with a pretty decent specifications. It features a 4.5-Inch ClearBlack IPS LCD display offering a FWVGA resolution of 854 x 480pixels. Moreover, it is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and churns out t pixel density of 221 ppi.

The handset which measures 129.5mm x 66.7mm x 9.2mm and weighs 134 grams is powered by a 1.2Ghz Quad-core Snapdragon 400 CPU from Qualcomm coupled with an entry level 512 of MB.

The smartphone is not much of a photography oriented device but if offers an average imaging hardware. It features a 5MP primary camera with Auto focus and f-number/aperture value of f/2.4. Sadly the handset lacks on the front facing shooter.

In the connectivity segment, the Lumia 630 comes with Dual SIM (Micro SIM) support. Other connectivity options include Micro-USB, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, WLAN and 3G.

It houses a native storage capacity of 8 GB which can be further expandee up to 128GB via MicroSD card. Moreover, Nokia is also offering a free 7GB of cloud storage with the phone.

The Lumia 630 is powered by a 1830 mAh battery capable of offering a maximum talk time of 16.4hours and 13.1 hours on 2G and 3G network respectively.

The company also says that the battery will also provide a maximum standby time with dual SIM for 27 days, maximum music playback time of 58 hours, maximum video playback time of 7 hours.

Also launched today is the Treasure Tag which uses sensors to keep track of valuables like keys wallet, or bags. The size of the matchbox, the Treasure tag is a small perfectly formed accessory that along with with the Lumia 630 will alert users when they are separated from their precious items.

Additionally, the Lumia 630 users will also be able to pair it with the new colorful Bluetooth mini speaker. This pocket sized powerhouse connects wirelessly using the new easy to use device hubb-app and play for 15 hours, transforming almost any surface into big sounding bass.

The Treasure Tag will be available in selected stores across India from May 31, 2014 at Rs. 2,099 while the mini speaker will start selling in the last week of June at Rs. 5,499.
