Nokia Lumia 638: Affordable 4G LTE Smartphone Launched in India at Rs 8,299
While loosing its grip in the high-end section, Microsoft is aggressively betting on the low-end phone to push the Lumia sales and Windows phone market share. Recently, the Redmond giant launched another affordable smartphone in India, the Microsoft Nokia Lumia 638. Carrying a price tag of Rs. 8,299, it will be available for pre-booking from December 17th on Amazon.in and Microsoft Brand store.

Microsoft Nokia Lumia 638 Specifications:
Microsoft Nokia Lumia 638, sports a 4.5-inch with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels, In-Plane Switching display with true color and multi-touch. It is clocked at 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor alongside of 1GB of RAM. Further on, it also supports 8GB of internal memory, with an expansion of upto 128GB via microSD slot, 5MP auto-focus rear camera with f/2.4 aperture, 28mmlens.

Built at a dimensions of 9.2mm thick and weighing 134grams, Microsoft Nokia Lumia 638 runs on Windows 8.1 with Lumia Cyan and is juiced by a 1830mAh battery.
On the connectivity side, Lumia 638 comes with 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS / aGPS, FM radio and 3.5mm audio jack.
Addressing the crowd at the launch, Mr. Raghuvesh Sarup, Director - Marketing, Nokia India Sales Pvt. Ltd. (a subsidiary of Microsoft Mobile Oy), said, "With the Lumia range we have always focused on delivering new experiences and features to our consumers at affordable price points. Now,we are introducing Lumia 638 which is the most affordable 4G smartphone on Windows Phone 8.1. It is built on the success of the Lumia range in the fast growing affordable smartphone segment and aims to address the consumers' demands for a device that lets them enjoy uninterrupted video contents. We are confident about the success of the Lumia 638 as it is a comprehensive package and we are certain that the device will help us consolidate our position in the affordable smartphones segment further."

Given the increasing demand for Lumia smartphones in India, and as more and more consumers choose to shop online, we are very excited to announce the availability of the Lumia 638 exclusively in our store. The Lumia 638 is the first product to be available exclusively in the Microsoft Brand Store."
The Nokia Lumia 638 comes in White and Black variant for Rs. 8,299. Lumia 638 consumers with Airtel Post-paid connection in Bengaluru can enjoy up to 5 GB of free data on 4G for 2 months post activation of their Airtel SIM on the new Lumia 638. This offer will be available only until 31st March 2015.
