With few days left for the official countdown to begin for Mobile Word Congress (MWC) 2013, the Finnish giant is set make some bold statements. Going by the reports, Nokia seems to be readying with a catalog of high-end to mid-range to low-end Lumia devices. Recently, a Reuters report revealed that the makers of PureView 808 are ready to showcase some affordable Windows Phone 8 powered Lumia smartphones.
Till now, it was just an unconfirmed report, however, in a latest development, @evaleaks has leaked couple of images of two Lumia handset via UnwiredView reports - the successors of Nokia Lumia 510 and Lumia 710 - Nokia Lumia 520 and 720. At the first look, the handsets look vivid and colorful and have taken the aspects form Lumia 800.
Reportedly, it is expected that the company will likely to announce the Nokia Lumia 520 and Nokia Lumia 720 along with some dirt cheap Windows powered handsets at affordable price range.
While there is no official leak of the specifications of the handsets, however rumors suggest that Lumia 520 codenamed Fame will flaunt a 4-inch Super Sensitive screen, 1GHz dual-core processor, 512MB RAM, 8GB internal storage, 5MP rear camera, no front camera, micro SD card slot and Windows Phone 8 OS.
On the other hand, Lumia 720 codenamed Zeal is speculated to come with a 4.3-inch ClearBlack display, 1GHz dual-core processor, 512MB RAM, 8GB internal storage, 6MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, HSPA+ and a microSD slot.
Considerably, it can be said that with the launch of budget Windows Phone 8 powered devices, Nokia aims to conquer biggest smartphone market including India and China, where sub Rs.10,000 smartphones sell like a hot cake. At the same time, it is obviously known that Android smartphones rule these countries with manufacturers like Samsung, Micromax, Lava and Karbonn getting due recognition.
However, Nokia Lumia range is definitely creating waves in these markets since debut. In December last year, few reports claimed that the Nokia Lumia 920 got an overwhelming response from young Chinese consumers. Also in India, the situation is also, observing the grand response to Lumia 920. Hence it can be said, if the rumors turn out to be true and Nokia Lumia 520 and 720 seriously exist, it worry time for some Android smartphone sellers in the world.
