If Microsoft is working hard to promote its Lumia 730, than the Japanese electronics maker Sony is also not far behind. They may not be aggressively marketing the Xperia C3 post the launch of the Lumia 730, even though they have had extensively promoted the device in the past.

The Lumia 730 is dressed in bright colors and sporting majestic looks. Past Lumia devices were always colorful and the Lumia 730 is no different. The plastic back cover is interchangeable that hides the device's battery, SIM Card slot and MicroSD card slot.

The Xperia C3, on the other hand, looks like a typical Sony handset. The sides are covered with metal. Even though an attractive looking device, but is made up of plastic chassis. The phone comes in white, black and mint colors.

Here comes a major difference between the two devices. The Lumia 730 is running on Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Denim. The Sony Xperia C3, on the other hand, runs Android 4.4 KitKat with Sony's native UI slapped on top.

The user experience on both these handsets is going to be a different story. Both OS offers a wide range of apps. Meanwhile, Microsoft has a large number of first-party apps, including Skype and MS Office, among others.

In every sense, the Nokia Lumia 730 beats the Sony Xperia C3. But while the Lumia 730 has a smaller 4.7-inch screen, the Xperia C3 sits at 5.5-inches. There's huge difference in price, however.

Given the lower price (Rs.14,000) of the Lumia 730, this selfie-centered handset is way better when it comes to the Xperia C3. Both phone, though, will help you take better selfies.
