Nokia Lumia 925: Metal Style Meets PureView Imaging In Newly Launched WP8 Flagship

Posted By:

Nokia has finally announced it's much hyped in an event held at London. The crazy device is a fusion of polycarbonate plastic and aluminum. The outer edge is being made from metal while the rear back is made from plastic shell. The Windows Phone 8 powered device packs exactly same hardware internals, as found in the recently announced Lumia 928, and last year's sleeper hit - Lumia 920.

The device is really thin, and flaunts Nokia explicit design philosophy. Unlike the Nokia Lumia 920 which comes with wireless charging facility, the Lumia 925 doesn't support directly. One has to purchase an extra cover to use wireless charging option. Nokia says the Lumia 925 will arrive in three sizzling colours : Black , White and Grey , and costs consumers €469 ( Rs. 33,364) , in Europe among other countries.

Lumia 925 - Specifications

Talking about the specifications, the device packs a 4.5-inch PureMotion HD+ display with resolution of 1, 280 x 768 pixels, 1.5 GHz dual -core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB or 32GB of internal storage, Wi-Fi, 3G, Qi wireless charging (optional), NFC, an 8.7-mega pixel rear facing camera with dual LED flashlight, A-GPS, a 2,000mAh Li Ion battery, and weighs 139grams.

What About Hipstamatic App?

During the event, Nokia also announced an imaging app - Hipstamatic. It is unconfirmed whether the app is making its way to Windows Phone 8 or not. But one thing is clear the app is coming to Nokia Lumia 925 for sure. The propose is simple - snap images, filter, and upload it later on social networking sites.

Nokia has lot of prove when it comes to making its Lumia range sellable. The Nokia Lumia 925 is certainly not enough to pull more crowds. It is just an extension to Lumia 920. Features such as Smart Cam, an inherent camera feature, has been already implemented by Samsung and HTC, in their respective devices. Nothing great here to talk about still it is not a bad device.
