Nokia Lumia 930 Vs Apple iPhone 5s: The Big Indian Market Adventure Continues
We are currently living in exciting times where the days are flooded new and coming technologies, as far as the smartphone business is concerned. Customers currently have over three different mobile-based platforms to choose from with each having their own dedicated offering.
However, while the choice of handsets and smart devices seem to be great, it is also worth mentioning that not all will be treated to the same kind of popularity and business compared to other major players such as Samsung and Apple.
And that's purely due to the immense number of smart devices from both the companies, and especially Samsung with its host of Android-drives handsets at assorted price ranges.
However, keeping aside Samsung and other Android-run handsets for the time being, it's high time that we shed a bit of light on the likes of Windows Phone and the newest offering in that segment, dubbed Nokia Lumia 930. But does it have enough under the hood to compete against the likes of Apple's iPhone 5s?

Nokia just took the wraps of its next Lumia flagship, and it easily looks like a great update to its existing Lumia lineup with a premium build, impressive specs and slick performance.
In comparison to the device, the Apple-made iPhone 5s has been around in the market for quite some time and will be in no mood to relinquish its presence.

So how does both the Nokia Lumia 930 and the iPhone 5s play out against each other when compared side-by-side? Let's take a closer look at a more detailed comparison between the two.
Operating System
The difference between both the devices is quite evident in this segment since both the devices run on different operating systems that have different features. While the Apple iPhone 5s currently comes running on the iOS 7, which can also be upgraded to iOS 7.1, its Nokia counterpart will also become a flagship that will run on the newest Windows Phone 8.1.
Display and Dimensions
The Nokia Lumia 930 sports a 5-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touch screen, while rendering 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. The device's overall dimensions measure up to 137 x 71 x 9.8 mm, and weighs in at 167 grams, which is certainly on the heavier side of things.

The Apple-made iPhone 5s, comparatively, comes with a slightly lesser 4-inch yet LED-backlit IPS LCD capacitive touch screen, while rendering 640 x 1136 pixels resolution. The device's overall dimensions measure up to 123.8 x 58.6 x 7.6 mm, with the device also quite light, weighing in at just 112 grams.
Camera
The Nokia Lumia 930, in terms of camera, offers a 20-megapixel primary camera, sporting a mammoth pixel resolution of 4992 х 3744 pixels, with autofocus and dual LED flash. The device also has a secondary 1.2-megapixel camera on board that's more than enough for conducting video chats.
The Apple iPhone 5s, on the other hand, sports a lesser primary 8-megapixel camera, sporting a pixel resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels, with autofocus and dual LED flash. The device also has a secondary 1.2-megapixel camera on board that's more than enough for conducting video chats.
Processing Power
As far as the in-device powers are concerned, both the devices offer dedicated hardware specifications to offer the engine that are capable of powering the devices.
While the Nokia Lumia 930 is equipped with a 2.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, its Apple counterpart powers up the iPhone 5s via a 1.3 GHz dual core Cyclone processor and Apple A7 chipset.
Storage and RAM
The Nokia-made Lumia 930 offers 2GB of RAM for users while offering the device in a 32 GB internal memory variant. However, there's no option to expand the device's memory since an external microSD slot for additional memory hasn't been provided.
The Apple-made iPhone 5s, on the other hand, offers the 1GB of DDR3 RAM while offering the device in 16, 32 and 64 GB internal memory variants. However, similar to the Lumia 930, there's no option to expand the device's memory further as an external microSD slot for additional memory is missing.
Battery
While the Nokia-made Lumia 930 juices up the Windows Phone 8.1-powered device via a 2420 mAh battery, the Apple iPhone 5s comes sporting a non-removable slightly lesser 1560 mAh battery.
Price
While the Nokia Lumia 930 is yet to recieve a final price tag, the Apple iPhone 5s is available at Rs. 48,445 for the 16 GB, at Rs. 60,800 for 32 GB and at Rs. 68,500 for 64 GB.
Verdict
The Nokia Lumia 930 is set to be the first Lumia device to run the newly introduced Windows Phone 8.1. And while the platform is still only based on the Windows Phone platform, we can see that the fans will be a bit interested in finding out what exactly the new device will be capable running the new OS.
The biggest barrier for the Apple-made iPhone 5s will be its price and there won't be many takers of the device considering how costly the product is. So while the future is uncertain, we are guessing that with the right kind of promotions, the Nokia Lumia 930 could easily climb to the top.
