Nokia Phablet Rumors: 6 inch Monster Releasing in Q4 2013

The Finnish giant Nokia is once again ignited by the stronger than expected sales of Lumia devices. CEO Stephen Elop, is said to be working hard to get a renowned carrier on board, so that the deal could be finalized in the coming days. Is he talking about the Nokia EOS? The upcoming handset should be the one with a 41-mega pixel censor under the hood, and could land in the retail market starting June.

 

Nokia is holding an exclusive event in regards to an upcoming Lumia device in London on May 14. It is not known whether the Espoo -based Nokia is prepping to announce its first Windows 8 powered tablet or the global flavor of Nokia Lumia 928. Interestingly, the tech vendor is holding another event on May 9 at New Delhi.

 

The Nokia Lumia 928, an upcoming handset rumored to have metal chassis, is speculated to arrive on Verzion in the US.

"What we're trying to do is really make sure that we're shifting the focus towards hero experiences. So, you hear us talking a lot about imaging, and so, you should watch...for us to continue to advance the state of the art, like what is the best experience in imaging on devices", as per Timo Ihamuotila, Chief Financial officer at Nokia.

Currently Nokia is simultaneously searching for an exclusive network partner in the US, and UK markets. Reports coming from Mobile Today magazine clearly hint at the Nokia EOS, a 41-mega pixel camera phone. Even the above mentioned quote by Chief Financial Officer, Nokia, states that Nokia is quite proud of its next -imaging titan after 808 PureView. Certainly, the Finnish giant wants to push EOS in the US market, where its market share has been steady since many years.

The mobile magazine is also reporting that Nokia will bring it much rumored phablet in the Q4 2013. It will carry a 6-inch display, and would be priced between £400 (Rs.33,570) and £500(Rs.41,962). CEO Stephen Elop wished not to talk about the phablet, but he stated that Nokia is committed to do experiments. 'We have a lot of juice ahead, as it relates to the Lumia product lines.'
