Nokia MWC 2013 Event On February 25: Windows RT Tablet, EOS Or Catwalk Smartphone Launch On Cards
With only a month for one of the biggest tech shows - MWC 2013, several companies have started appearing in the headlines for their expected launches. Nokia has been long rumored for its Windows RT tablet is also in news as it has sent out invites for its press event on February 25, 2013.
Nokia has announced it will be holding a press conference at Mobile World Congress late next month on February 25. Nokia's invitation depicts a woman clutching a fork with the words "At Home in Barcelona" printed in bold. Being strange, the invitation creates a doubt on what exactly the Finnish tech giant is planning to unveil at MWC 2013.
There are three speculations including the Windows RT tablet, EOS and Catwalk.
Since long, Nokia is busily working on a tablet running Microsoft's Windows RT platform and the device has been rumored to be uncovered at the tech show in Barcelona this year. Leaving the tablet aside, Nokia has also been highly rumored to be working on Catwalk and EOS - both are Windows Phone 8 handsets. While Catwalk is speculated to be a Lumia 920 replacement, EOS is believed to be the real PureView Lumia Windows Phone 8 handset.
Windows RT Tablet
As per earlier rumors, Nokia will be launching a 10.1 inch Windows RT tablet with cellular connectivity options including HDMI and USB ports. The report adds on that the tablet will be paired with a detachable keyboard and the upcoming tablet will offer over 10 hours of battery backup. Further, Nokia will initially launch the tablet in the U.S. market in Q1 2013 via AT&T, the country's popular carrier.
Nokia Catwalk
Considered to be a replacement of Lumia 920, Catwalk is rumored to come with a polycarbonate shell that the company has used in all of its high-end Windows Phone handsets in favour of an aluminum build. Also, new device will be relatively thinner and lighter than the current flagship smartphone of Nokia - Lumia 920. It is speculated to come with similar internal and hardware specs as Lumia 920.
Nokia EOS
Nokia is also rumored to be working on a Lumia smartphone with Windows Phone 8 and real PureView camera technology. The handset codenamed EOS is rumored to come with a 4.3 inch capacitive touchscreen display with HD resolution, 1.5GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor and Adreno 320 graphics processor. As of now, the other specs remain a mystery.
