Nokia R: 2.4 Inch Feature Phone Shown in Leaked Image
You may have noticed something peculiar about the Finnish giant Nokia: these guys still support feature phones. There's a valid reason as to why Nokia still manufacturer old generation feature phones.
After all, Nokia can't ignore the fact that 50% of the world wide mobile shipments are still contributed by feature phone segment. In a country like India, where ruling government is aiming to provide free mobile phones with internet connection to 2.5 crore people, there's an immense scope of feature phones regardless of rise in share of smartphones running Android.
Many would find it amusing, but soon Nokia could come up with a new feature phone. Phone Arena is reporting that Nokia is preparing a new feature phone currently known by the name "Nokia R ".The said phone would be announced sometime in March, followed by global release in April.

The Nokia R seems to be a typical feature phone with understated specifications. Phone Arena also informs that Nokia will tweak the OS to make the experience more intriguing, in case of Nokia R: it's Symbian S40 OS running out of the box.
The Nokia R is expected to have a 2.4-inch display having a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. The handset appears to be bulky at 116.4x50.3x13.25mm. The makers will fuse a 1,100mAh battery fitted inside. To make sure you won't get bored or something, the Nokia R is said to be stuffed with an MP3 player and FM Radio. The phone would also incorporate 16MB of RAM. The phone could pack a 2MP camera.
There are no updates available in respect to expandable internal memory via a microSD card slot. On a disappointing side, the phone would support only 2G EGDE data. This means that consumers who wish to use 3G connectivity should avoid this phone. Moreover, the report didn't clarify whether the said phone would have dual SIM facility. Since, Nokia is fond of crazy colors; the said leaked phone will probably get announced in multiple-colors.
