After announcing its first ever 10.1-inch Windows RT 8.1 tablet recently, Nokia is once again geared up to come up with another tablet. Sources close to The Verge suggest that Nokia is currently making an 8-inch tablet running on Windows RT 8.1 and Qualcomm processor. The report also sheds light on the release date too.
Codename: the Illusionist ( via @evleaks), Nokia's upcoming 8-inch tablet could be announced in the first half of 2014.
Meanwhile, Microsoft is also prepping a mini version of Surface RT. For quite some time , we have been hearing about the device, but till now nothing much is known about" Surface RT Mini". Is it possible to see two similar tablets coming from Microsoft's kitty early next year ? The impact could be minimum , as Microsoft is yet to taste success as far as low-to-mid range Windows tablets are concerned. Late last year, the Cupertino-based giant stunned consumers by launching a 7.9-inch Apple iPad Mini. Few days ago, the second-generation iPad Mini was introduced. The iPad Mini 2 is more powerful than any other 8-inch tablet available in the market today.
