The technology is not as complex as you think. It is somewhat like a voice assistant feature but here you will have to write on the screen to execute any required action. Thus you can simply jot down the action that you want to perform on the device's touchscreen, using your stylus or a finger. You can write "call mom" on your smartphone and it will execute your order, but you can also devise a gesture of your own and assign it to a specific action.

Moreover, if you have been following Microsoft, which owns Nokia, you must also know by now that it is also working on the Cortana which is a voice assistant for Windows Phone devices. But so far we don't know if the new symbol recognition will come to all the Windows Phone running Nokia handsets or not.

Moreover, it might also come alongside the Windows Phone 8.1 version this year. Stay tuned!
