Nokia X Series Smartphones To Come Preloaded with WeChat Messaging App
Following the footsteps of the most popular cross-platform instant messaging app WhatsApp, WeChat is also making some impact on the users. That's the very reason why Nokia has pre-loaded the application in its latest Nokia X smartphone, which was launched in India recently. Nokia X phones will have all the WeChat's features which include "People Nearby," "Shake" and "Draft Bottle," and free stickers.
In terms of popularity, WeChat claims to be the fastest growing social media platform with a 379% increase in users during the period of Q2 to Q4 2013, topping the GlobalWebIndex's Q4 2013 report in terms of growth.

But online reports are now suggesting that the application will be made available across all the handsets falling in the Nokia X series. Which means that the messaging app will also be made available in Nokia X+ and Nokia XL. The two handsets from the Finnish giant are said to launch in the Q2 this year. It should be noted that the Nokia X smartphone series are based on Nokia's new smartphone platform based on Android OS.

Bryan Biniak, Global Vice President and General Manager, Developer Experience, Nokia said, "We are thrilled to bring WeChat to the Nokia X smartphone family. We continually aim to bring people the best smartphone experience with our innovative hardware and software, and WeChat is a perfect addition to help people stay connected and share more joy with friends."
Blackberry's BBM application is another potential rival against the WeChat apart from WhatsApp.
