Nokia X Starts Receiving Minor Software Update in India
Finnish smartphone giant Nokia which is a lone player in the Windows Phone ecosystem, was earlier believed to be confined to the same platform until the company launched its X series recently. For those who are not aware, Nokia X is the company's first Android smartphone based on Android Open Source Project (AOSP). Thus the Microsoft acquired mobile phone maker has completely altered the belief among its fans.
Moreover, the Nokia X, which has already been launched in India just a couple of weeks ago has now started receiving a minor update. The new software update v11.1.1 brings a bit of performance improvements compared to the older version (v10.0.3). But it should be noted that the core Android version remains the same i.e. Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean). The 16MB over-the-air (OTA) update is currently available in India and Thailand.
