Nokia's X series of smartphones, it's quite safe to say at this point, has created a lot of noise in the tech domain, with the devices also being the first ever Nokia phones to run on the Android operating system.
Starting at this year's previously held Mobile World Congress (MWC 2014) event, the device has gone on to gain a lot of popularity just plainly due to the fact that the device runs the Android platform. And that's something you don't see everyday.
Keeping the popularity at hand for the previously released Nokia X, the company has now pulled the curtains off the new Nokia XL for a price tag of Rs. 11,489. The device could be easily tagged as upgrade to the previous X release.
The Nokia XL is basically the best among the three X devices and comes with a comparatively bigger LCD display measuring 5-inch. It is a WVGA display offering a resolution of 480×800 pixels.
The device has a 1GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Play processor with 768MB of RAM. It houses 4GB of Internal storage and it can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. Connectivity options are regular, which include 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS with A-GPS and a Dual SIM support.
In terms of imaging, the Android-based Nokia XL sports a 5MP auto focus camera with Flash and 2MP front camera. The device which measures 141.3 x 77.7 x 10.8mm and weighs 190 grams is powered by a 2000mAh battery.
The battery in the handset is also said to offer 13 hours of talk time and 37 hours of music playback time to the device.
