Editor's Note: This story has been updated.

When Nokia launched its first ever Android powered 'Nokia X' series at this year's MWC, many argued that it was Nokia's strategy to win over its many loyal fans. Whatever the case may be, Nokia's X series is probably the last chance to run Android on Nokia. The series itself looks interesting- combining the strength of Nokia's fantastic hardware coupled with Microsoft's services and Google's Android OS.

Nokia X, the first Android-powered phone, was already made available in India long time back. In fact, Nokia has already reduced the retail price of Nokia X by Rs. 900 to retain consumer interest in the device. Nokia X is now available at a price point of Rs. 7,000.

To further push the Nokia X series, the company will introduce the Nokia XL into India on May 1. The company today sent an invite to GizBot in wake of the Nokia XL showcasing in India. In keeping up to the competition, Nokia is eager to launch the top end Nokia XL in India at the earliest.
