Nokia 206: Dual SIM Phone Spotted Online at Rs 3,499

    It was only yesterday, when Gizbot covered a report stating that Nokia 206 will hit the Indian market shelves really soon. The news swirled in when a teaser on the Nokia India Facebook page got posted claiming that "An eye-catchingly large 2.4 inch screen, the Nokia 206 dual-SIM comes in striking colours that'll brighten up your day... Coming Soon."

    When inquired about the launch dates and pricing of Asha 206, Nokia spokesperson was not able to share information on the same, Gizbot has been informed that the handset will hit the retail shelves in India shortly.

    Well, the latest update on the matter is that the phone has appeared on the online retailer site Flipkart at a price of Rs 3,599 in three color options including Black,White and Cyan. As stated on the website page, the phone will be delivered in 7 to 8 business days from the time of purchase.

    Initially, the handset was unveiled alongside Asha 205 in November last year. Talking about specs, the handset boasts a 2.4 inch LCD display with 320 x 240 pixel resolution, Series 40 platform, 1.3MP rear camera and has no front camera, 64MB free user memory, a microSD card slot supporting up to 32GB additional storage, GPRS/EDGE, Bluetooth v2.1 with EDR and a 1,110 mAh BL-4U battery offering 20 hours talk time and 680 hours standby.

    Other than that, Nokia 206 will also come packed with software features including eBuddy screen notifications, free Nokia Life+ web app, including the Life Skills and Live Healthy services, a comprehensive mobile entertainment package including 40 free EA Games available for download from Nokia Store. Also, Asha 206 has Slam feature - a new service that allows users to transfer media between devices that support Bluetooth without the necessity to pair them.
