Oppo loses the thinnest smartphone label to ZTE Athena

It was just few days back when Chinese phone Oppo came to the market as the thinnest smartphone. But now ZTE is out with a phone Athena which is now claiming to be the thinnest. The new ZTE phone is coming up with a dimension of 6.2 mm, beating that of Oppo by 0.3mm. Though the news of its thin nature is out, there are not many other details known about this device. ZTE Athena is expected to hit the market soon.

There is no idea about the size of the screen. As it uses the 720p IPS panel, the screen size would be at least 4.5 inches. From the pictures available, we can assume that the phone is made from Kevlar or carbon fibre would be the reason for achieving this thin nature along with good rigidity. Or else it may be a pattern of plastic also.

The phone is expected to offer good processing efficiency with a multi-core Cortex-A15 processor. It is further enhanced system memory of 64GB. Regarding the OS specifications of the phone, ZTE smartphone is running on powerful operating system, Ice Cream Sandwich. The phone is expected to come up with Miflavor UI as well. It is expected to come with more advanced features to make it user friendly.

Whatever may be the other specs to be revealed, ZTE Athena has a very good platform to gain a position in the grounds of Europe or America backing aside Oppo. There is no word like when this world’s thinnest phone will reach the smartphone market. The price information of the ZTE Athena phone is also not known.

Smartphone admirers all over the world can keep their fingers crossed to experience the thinnest smartphone in the world. They can hope that it reaches their hands at an affordable price tag as well. The phone is said to arrive the market in a lot of colour choices also.

ZTE has made such a smart move to boost up its desire to join the high end smartphone makers like Apple and Samsung.
