Established in 2008, Chinese smartphone manufacturer Oppo which already has a leading market in North America, Europe and Asia has finally entered the Indian market with the launch of its latest high-end unusual camera design smartphone Oppo N1.
The best part! The Oppo N1 comes with a unique swiveling camera, which will rotate and work both as the front and rear facing camera. The company has priced its smartphone at Rs. 39,999.
The smartphone which was officially launched last year around September comes with the full HD 5.9 inch display offering a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and delivers a stunning 377 pixels per inch pixel density.
This phone is powered by 1.7 GHz Snapdragon 600 quad core processor with Adreno 320 GPU coupled with 2 GB of RAM. It runs on Oppo's home made Color OS, which is built on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The internal storage is not expandable and customers can buy the handset in two variants: 16 GB and 32 GB models.
Moving on the camera section, there is a 13 MP CMOS sensor camera (from Sony) which features 6 lenses stacked over one another. The wide Aperture f/2.0 camera is supported by Fujitsu IPS imaging chip. Also add a Dual LED flash. The camera, which can be rotated up to 180 degrees can be used to take super-high quality selfies. And upon rotating the camera hinge, also activates the camera.
Connectivity options include NFC and DLNA, 3G and WiFi. Apart from that, the area under the camera is touch sensitive and thus it has been named as O Touch. You can use this O Touch to play music or browse web.
Over all, it will be powered by a generous 3610 mAh battery capacity. Looking at the specs and price of the handset, it looks like Oppo N1 will come to compete with the latest smartphones selling in the market including Nokia Lumia 1320 and Lumia 1520, LG G2, Galaxy Note 3, Gionee Elife E7, Nexus 5, Sony Xperia Z1 among others.
Oppo N1 will be launched by bollywood stars Hrithik Roshan and Sonam Kapoor in a Delhi event today. At the same time, Oppo has also revealed that the company will be announcing another smartphone called the R1 in the coming months.
