Oppo N3 Flagship Smartphone With 16MP Motorized Rotating Camera Now Official

Oppo's latest flagship N3 smartphone has just made its global debut in Singapore and is the first to sport a 16MP rotating camera. The new smartphone sticks to the formula of the original N1, with a rotating camera and similar styled form factor.

One of the notable additions to the N3 smartphone is a 16-megapixel 206-degree rotating camera, 1/2.3-inch sensor with dual-LED Flash and f/2.2 aperture. It also has motorized rotating camera that can rotate to 0.012 degrees accurately to capture selfies. The camera uses Schneider Kreuznach-certified lens.

As per the company, the mechanized camera rotates up to 206 degrees and it moves automatically when shooting panoramas. Furthermore, panoramas are shot in up to 64MP resolution.

Other highlighted features of N3's terrific camera includes: slow shutter, ultra macro mode, after focus, manual control and shooting in RAW.

The N3 has a 5.5-inch Full HD (1080p) display with Corning Glass 3 protection. Unlike the Find 7, which comes with a Quad HD display, the N3 handset houses a FHD screen.

The phone includes a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor (MSM8974AA) with 330 GPU. The device offers a healthy 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage. The dual-SIM version of the Oppo N3 has been launched as well. The phone will be running on Android 4.4 (Kitkat) with Oppo's native Color OS 2.0 layer on top.

The N3 flagship smartphone comes with a 3,000mAh Li-Po battery that supports the company's VOOC rapid charging technology and can recharge from 0 to 75% in just 30 minutes. This is a new VOOC charger that has also been updated. Notably, there's a fingerprint sensor at the back.

At the same event, Oppo also unveiled the world's thinnest smartphone, the R5, measuring just 4.8mm thick. The device comes fitted with a 64-bit processor under the hood.
