Optima OPS 80 And 80Q Smartphones Launched In India: Price, Availability, Specs And 5 Competitors

Today, Optima added to the massive list of smartphone options in the Indian market by launching its Smart OPS 80 and OPS 80Q phablets. The devices are available with online retailers : Smart OPS-80Q for Rs. 11,899 and Smart OPS 80 for Rs. 6,999 (from Amazon.in) and other retailers at Rs. 8,500. Given their price range, the devices have some appealing specifications.

Starting with the OPS 80Q, the device uses a 5-inch qHD (540x960 pixel) IPS display. For processing, it calls upon a 1.2GHz quad-core processor. For imaging, there's an 8-megapixel rear camera with flash and a 2-megpixel front-facing camera. The device offers 4GB of inbuilt storage, plus an option to expand up to 32GB via microSD card. It is powered by a 1800mAh battery. The phablet runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.

And then comes the less-expensive OPS 80, which uses a 5.3-inch WVGA (480x800pixel) display. It comes with a 1GHz Cortex A9 chipset and 512 MB of RAM. For imaging, it uses an 8-megapixel rear camera apart from a 1.3-megapixel front camera. There's 4GB of internal storage plus an option to expand up to 32GB via microSD card. It uses a 2600mAh battery.

Speaking of specs, Xolo Q800 will come with a 4.5-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, 8MP rear camera with LED flash and BSI sensor, 1.2MP front camera for video calling, 1GB RAM, 4GB internal memory, 32GB expandable memory with a micro SD card slot, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and a 2,100 mAh battery.

Sony Xperia E

The Sony Xperia E offer a lot of interesting features like HVGA touch screen of 3.5 inches, 1 GHz processor, VGA video recording, A-GPS Bluetooth, WiFi and WiFi spot functionality, xLOUD tech, 4 GB internal memory, HD Voice, 3D surround sound along with a manual equalizer, autofocus camera with 3.2 mp. microSD upto 32 GB, DLNA and a WALKMAN app built in it consisting of xLOUD tech.

Samsung Galaxy S Duos

Galaxy S Duos houses a 4 inch capacitive touchscreen display with 480 x 800 pixel resolution. Running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the handset is equipped with a 1GHz processor, 5MP rear camera, VGA front camera, 4GB internal memory, 768MB RAM, a micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB and 1,500 mAh Li-ion battery.

Karbon Titanium S5

Detailing on the specs, Titanium S5 boasts a 5 inch qHD multi-touch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels, 1.2GHz quad core processor, 1GB RAM, micro SD card slot, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth and a 2,000 mAh battery. As of now, there is no word on the internal storage support, but it is expected to be around 4GB as in other budget phablets.
