Optima OPS 80 And 80Q Smartphones Launched In India: Price, Availability, Specs And 5 Competitors

Today, Optima added to the massive list of smartphone options in the Indian market by launching its Smart OPS 80 and OPS 80Q phablets. The devices are available with online retailers : Smart OPS-80Q for Rs. 11,899 and Smart OPS 80 for Rs. 6,999 (from Amazon.in) and other retailers at Rs. 8,500. Given their price range, the devices have some appealing specifications.

Starting with the OPS 80Q, the device uses a 5-inch qHD (540x960 pixel) IPS display. For processing, it calls upon a 1.2GHz quad-core processor. For imaging, there's an 8-megapixel rear camera with flash and a 2-megpixel front-facing camera. The device offers 4GB of inbuilt storage, plus an option to expand up to 32GB via microSD card. It is powered by a 1800mAh battery. The phablet runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.

And then comes the less-expensive OPS 80, which uses a 5.3-inch WVGA (480x800pixel) display. It comes with a 1GHz Cortex A9 chipset and 512 MB of RAM. For imaging, it uses an 8-megapixel rear camera apart from a 1.3-megapixel front camera. There's 4GB of internal storage plus an option to expand up to 32GB via microSD card. It uses a 2600mAh battery.
