3D Mania Kicks In: LG Optimus 3D
The phone is the first phone to have 3D display without the help of glasses. Yes you heard it right; you no longer have to take pain in wearing those strange and rather uncomfortable glasses to experience 3D at its Visual best.
The phone features 17 Stereoscopic 3D or S-3D games that were exclusively developed for the phone by Gameloft, a biggie in mobile games. Out of these, 3 games will be available as full versions in the LG Optimus 3D.
Besides the 3D games, the phone is loaded with loads of attractive features that will give stiff competition to the other players. The phone has a powerful and ultra fast 1GHz processor coupled to a fast Android 2.2 Froyo OS. The excellent combination allows super fast and seamless 3D content integration.
The phone has a large 4.3 inch 3D display screen that runs on LG"s own 3D User Interface.
The phone has 2 powerful cameras at the rear. Both have a resolution of 5 Mega Pixels. One is intended for high definition 1080p video recording while the other facilitates 720p 3D video recording.
There are 3 preinstalled full version games in the phone. These games are proven to be top class when it comes to satisfying graphics and thrill gaming enthusiasts. Their 3D counterparts will just add more to it.
According to LG, the company has made use of special software not used in any device till now to achieve seamless conversion of 2D content to 3D in the phone and which facilitates viewing without the 3D glasses.
Based on this software, LG plans to release another model that can actually convert 2D games into 3D ones. This software might be available for free download to Optimus 3D users by the 3rd Quarter of 2011.
The phone is now currently available in the US market and it looks all set to enter the Indian markets soon and is in every sense a true competition to the upcoming HTC Evo 3D Smartphone.
The 3D revolution might be the next big thing to happen in the Smartphone market after the explosive Android revolution. The Optimus 3D priced at around Rs 22,500 approximately might just take the market by storm initially.
