Panasonic Eluga I: Quad Core HD Phablet Launched in India at Rs 9,999
Although Panasonic has a huge presence in India, its smartphone business is yet to take off in the country.
However, over the past few days, the smartphone maker has shown quirkiness when it comes to its new lineup of Android handsets.
Just last week, the company had launched the Eluga S in India, which is built on Android mobile OS and offers a host of features. The device is available at Rs. 10,200. The company has now further expanded its range of smartphones in the country with the addition of Panasonic Eluga I.
Targeted primarily at youth, the new smartphone sports a 5-inch screen and is priced at Rs. 9,999. The handset is now available for purchase via Flipkart.
Panasonic Eluga I - Highlighted Specifications
The newly launched sports a 5 inch full HD IPS capacitive display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the box.
The device is powered by a 1.3GHz processor and has 1GB of RAM. The internal memory of the device is 8GB.
The Panasonic Eluga I has an 8-megapixel autofocus rear-facing camera with single LED Flash that can also record full high definition videos (1080p) at 30 frames per second. It also comes with a 2MP front facing camera for video calling.
On the connectivity front, the device has 3G/2G, Dual-SIM, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, microUSB port, and a 2,000mAh battery inside. The dimensions of the device are 73.6x147.1x9 mm, and weighs in at 155grams.

The Panasonic Eluga I will compete with a number of mid-end phones with Google's Android OS, including the Motorola Moto G ( 2014), Gionee Marathon M3 and Micromax Canvas Nitro.
