Panasonic P81 Hands on and First Look: A Quality Driven Mid-Range Smartphone

Under the hood is a 1.7GHz true octa-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM, which should provide plenty of power for your daily needs, although how it handles challenging games remains to be seen. The device will arrive running the older Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Well, the makers have promised to update the device to the latest Android Kitkat, sometime around July time frame.

Panasonic P81- Software and Apps
The P81 will arrive with a dated Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. However, the makers have tried to redesign the UI from the scratch. The Multi Play feature gives you options to open two windows/ apps simultaneously. And with gesture play feature, you can assign different gestures (Unlock, SMS and Camera) to various apps and draw the same on your lock screen to directly access the same. Moreover, there is a multi-tasking app called Pop-i Player. Basically, the video player let you use other apps on the phone while still watching the video.

The device also features tons of first and third-party apps pre-installed on the P81. Evernote, TOI, Sony LIV, Hungama, India Today Group and Hot n Trendy are some of the apps that come pre-installed on the Panasonic P81.
