Philips W6618 Smartphone With a Massive 5,300 mAh Battery Launched
In the global market, getting hold of a smartphone with high battery capacity is a challenging task. However, there are devices with more than 3000 mAh battery, which are quite suitable for 5 inch devices. But one smartphone, which broke the barrier against the traditional cell-phone battery capacity was launched by Chinese smartphone maker Lenovo, it's called the P780. The smartphone features a massive 4000 mAh battery capacity.
Now another device has been launched in China recently by Philips, called the W6618. Believe it or not but the handset features an unimaginable 5,300 mAh battery. The smartphone is not a bad deal for anyone who is looking for a heavy battery capacity in a phone. The device costs $273 (approx. Rs. 16,481). The device is priced very close to Lenovo P780, thus these devices are going to be a direct rival in every way.

The Philips W6618 features a 5-inch display offering a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. It is powered by MediaTek's quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. Also add 1GB or RAM to it. The device runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS. There is a 4GB of native memory along with a microSD card support in the device. The device also features a dual SIM support. The W6618 is 11.6mm thick, but that's understandable, given the size of its battery.
Obviously, the phone's main selling point is a 5,300 mAh battery (non removable) that can provide a stand-by time of more than two months (1,604 hours, or 66 days), and a talk-time of up to 33 hours.
