Although, there are many hardware vendors associated with Tizen OS, but no has come with their respective device. It's been almost two years since the official announcement of Tizen mobile OS took place. Earlier this year at MWC, Samsung gave a glimpse at what would be the first smartphone running Tizen OS look like. It actually made a very brief appearance. The device was similar to the Samsung Galaxy S3. Of course the company has earlier told that the device won't cheap. Some reports also say that Tizen OS based handset will first go on sale in Europe and Japan , as early as July.
Back in March, a senior Samsung executive told Bloomberg that company would be able to announce Tizen OS based handsets in August or September. As IFA Berlin is around the corner, one could expect Samsung to announce at least one device running Tizen OS in the last week of August. Talking about the other vendors prominent among them NTT DoCoMo will announce their first Tizen OS based device in the second half of 2013, while Orange is more determined , and could announce the devices, as early as Summers.
Recently, Mark Skarpness, director of systems engineering at Intel, stated "It's ready to be built into products and it's ready for you to build your applications against."
