Reliance Reconnect (RPSPE4701): Key Specifications

The Reliance Reconnect smartphone comes with a 4.7-inch HD IPS display offering a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and it is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB RAM. It runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean).

Imaging shouldn't be a problem as the phone comes with a 13MP rear camera with LED Flash, BSI sensor and a 2MP front-facing snapper as well. The latest offering from Reliance bears 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and Dual SIM support.

Unlike most of the latest sub Rs. 10,000 priced smartphones, the Reliance Reconnect houses an 8GB internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB with microSD card. The smartphone which measures 9.2mm and weighs 132.8 grams comes with a 2000 mAh battery pack.

Competition

Since the Indian smartphone market is witnessing an aggressive KitKat revolution, even the most affordable phones costing Rs. 3,000 are being launched with KitKat OS. Thus, one place where Reliance phone might loose out would be the Android version. On the positive side, the handset comes with a better camera module.

The specs of the device quite matches with the latest smartphones from Micromax, Lava, Xolo, Celkon and others. Except the camera module that Reliance has used in Reconnect (RPSPE4701), other specs match with Celkon Millennium Vogue, Lava Iris X1, Xolo Q600s and Micromax Unite 2 smarphones. Thus, if you are willing to buy the latest offering from Reliance Digital, you might want to fist check out the other devices in the market before making a decision.
