Back in February, Huawei sub-brand Honor launched a smartphone called Honor V9 in China. Now, more than six months, Honor is said to be working on a mini version of this smartphone.
A Weibo user (via GSMArena) has even shared two images of the alleged Honor V9 Mini. The images show the mysterious device placed under the Honor V9 smartphone. Well, the images don't give out much information about the smartphone. Some publications are also claiming that this smartphone is actually the Honor 6C, but it is not likely. As of now, we don't know anything about the Honor V9 Mini.
However, being a mini version, it is likely to come with watered down specs. The smartphone may come with less amount of RAM and internal storage capacity.
To remind you, the Honor V9 features a 5.7-inch QHD display with 2.5D curved glass, an Octa-core Kirin 960 chipset with four Cortex A73 clocked at 2.4GHz and the rest of the Cortex A53 cores at 1.8GHz.
There are two memory variants of the smartphone. The basic one with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage, while the higher version carries 6GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage space. The storage space can be further expanded up to128GB via a microSD card slot.
On the optics front, the Honor V9 has a 12MP dual camera setup at the back with f/2.2 aperture, dual-tone LED flash and Laser AF. Just below the camera module lies a fingerprint scanner for added security. There's also an 8MP shooter at the front with f/2.0 aperture for selfies.
As for software, the handset boots on EMUI 5.0 out-of-the-box which is based on Android 7.0 Nougat. There's a huge 4,000mAh battery to back the device.
In terms of connectivity, the smartphone offers Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, NFC, Bluetooth 4.2, IR Blaster, 3.5mm audio port and other standard features.
