Realme 14T 5G First Impressions Review: The Good
The Realme 14T is available in three colour options: Obsidian Black, Surf Green, and Lighting Purple. Our review unit came in Surf Green, which is quite vibrant. If you prefer a softer, lighter shade, the purple variant might be a better choice for you.
One of the standout features of the Realme 14T is its massive 6,000mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging. It takes roughly an hour to charge from 30% to 100%. I spent a full day with the phone, scrolling through Instagram Reels, chatting, and watching videos.
While it handles everyday tasks well, heavy movie streaming may require a quick top-up later in the day. I'll dive deeper into the battery performance in my full review.
Under the hood, the Realme 14T is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. It also supports RAM expansion and external storage of up to 2TB, offering plenty of space.
Despite housing a large battery, the phone maintains a slim profile at just 7.97mm thick. It features a flat AMOLED display, which Realme claims is the brightest in its segment, with a peak brightness of 2100 nits. During my usage, I had no issues with visibility under direct sunlight.
Additionally, the display comes with TÜV Rheinland certification, which helps reduce eye strain during extended screen time or nighttime use. Another highlight is the IP69 rating for water and dust resistance, a feature that is rarely seen at this price point.

Realme 14T 5G First Impressions Review: The Bad
On the software front, the Realme 14T runs on Android 15 with Realme UI 6.0. While the company hasn't made any official promises regarding future software updates, we will update our story if any announcements are made. The device also comes with several pre-installed apps, some of which can be removed, while others are non-removable.

Moreover, the Realme 14T lacks a dedicated ultra-wide lens, which is disappointing at this price point. While the 50MP main camera performs well and captures good photos in daylight, it struggles with detailed shots in low-light conditions. The images tend to appear somewhat washed out, and this issue also extends to the selfie camera.
Although I haven't encountered any major problems during my initial use, I did experience some lag while scrolling through Reels for an extended period. The phone also gets stuck sometimes when switching between apps.
Realme 14T 5G First Impressions Review: The X-Factor
If you're looking for a phone with an attractive design and a massive battery, the Realme 14T could be a good choice. Its lightweight design also provides a comfortable one-hand grip. The IP69 rating is a notable feature in this price segment, but the lack of a dedicated ultra-wide camera is definitely a drawback.
There are other alternatives in this price range, like the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion and the POCO X7, which offer better features in areas such as camera and display. Even if you're willing to spend an additional Rs 4,000 to Rs 5,000, you can consider options like the Nothing Phone 3 or Samsung Galaxy M56 5G.
Stay tuned for the full review, where I'll dive deeper into its features.
