Samsung Galaxy 5: A Budget Phone!

The new Samsung Galaxy 5 is now available in India. The phone comes fitted with a 2.8 inch TFT capacitive touch screen display which is really an advantage of the phone especially when it comes at low prices. The resolution is made low though, with a 240 X 320 pixels. The screen size being small, the onscreen menu display is kind of crowded. In the sun, the screen goes completely blank.
The phone is a quad band GSM and has a dual band 3G support in addition to a 3.6 Mbps HSDPA support. It has a smart dialing feature too. The operating system of the handset is an Android v2.1 Eclair. This is something similar to that in Galaxy S II models. Another main feature of Samsung Galaxy 5 is its Touch wiz 3.0 UI customization.
The phone has a very powerful processor with a 600 MHz clock speed. The image capturing of the device is again impressive with the 2MP camera. The geo tagging feature of Samsung Galaxy 5 phone is something that one would find in high end devices.
The connectivity of the device is worth noticing with the handset offering a most advanced WiFi device available in the market, which is an 802.11 b/g/n. The GPS included with a faster connectivity adds up to the features of Samsung Galaxy 5. The data transfer with the handset is made more easier with an updated version of the Bluetooth device, a version 3.0. The phone has a microUSB with which the device can also be charged. The memory storage of a 16GB is satisfying in addition to a 1GB on the board storage. The sound out options of the device is a quality one and the audio jack is standardised with the 3.5 mm port. Another desirable feature included in the phone is its fast text input supported by a Swype technology.
The Samsung Galaxy 5 phone with all these features is available at an unbelievable low price tag of Rs 8900.
