When the Galaxy S5 was first launched this year, apart from the specs, the phone was heavily criticized on the plastic build quality of the phone. However, in terms of internal hardware and software, the smartphone was well received in the international market.
Samsung took the criticism quite deeply and produced another phone with a metal build or precisely a metal frame featuring phone. It's called the Galaxy Alpha. The smartphone has been launched in India today at a price of Rs. 39,990. It is being offered in Charcoal Black, Dazzling White, Frosted Gold, Sleek Silver and Scuba Blue color variant. The smartphone will be available in India starting the first week of October.

Samsung Galaxy Alpha: Key Specifications
The Samsung Galaxy Alpha comes with a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED display offering a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It is powered by an Octa-Core Exynos (1.8 GHz Quad + 1.3GHz Quad) processor coupled with 2GB RAM and runs on Android 4.4.4 (KitKat).
Photography aspect in the phone is pretty decent. It uses 12MP rear camera with LED Flash capable of recording video at 4K quality and at the front you will get to see a 2.1MP snapper.
The Galaxy Alpha houses 32GB of internal memory, but lacks a micro SD card slot.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE-A Cat.6 / 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2X2 MIMO), Bluetooth v4.0 LE, GPS and NFC. Moreover, like the Galaxy S5 the latest Alpha also sports an S Health 3.0 software along with a Heart rate sensor.
The 6.7mm thick smartphone that weighs 115 grams is powered by a 1860 mAh Battery.
