Last month, Samsung launched its first metal-bodied phone - the Galaxy Alpha in India at the price of Rs. 39,990. The device is now available in the country at the price as low as Rs. 37,999. The device can be bought in Charcoal Black, Dazzling White, Frosted Gold, Sleek Silver and Scuba Blue color variants.

Samsung Galaxy Alpha: Key Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy Alpha comes with a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED display offering a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It is powered by an Octa-Core Exynos (1.8 GHz Quad + 1.3GHz Quad) processor coupled with 2GB RAM and runs on Android 4.4.4 (KitKat).

Photography aspect in the phone is pretty decent. It uses 12MP rear camera with LED Flash capable of recording video at 4K quality and at the front you will get to see a 2.1MP snapper. The Galaxy Alpha houses 32GB of internal memory, but lacks a micro SD card slot.

Connectivity options include 4G LTE-A Cat.6 / 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2X2 MIMO), Bluetooth v4.0 LE, GPS and NFC. Moreover, like the Galaxy S5 the latest Alpha also sports an S Health 3.0 software along with a Heart rate sensor. The 6.7mm thick smartphone that weighs 115 grams is powered by a 1860 mAh Battery.
