While the Indian smartphone market has and is continuously reaching new heights among the top ones in the world, the surge has practically been big in terms of all the budget handsets that we have seen until now.
Following in the footsteps of the Motorola-made Moto G and Moto E, manufacturers currently operating in the Indian handset market have finally come to terms and understand the potential of the budget-friendly handsets. And likewise, almost all the makers are now trying to get the most out of it.

Not only the big names such as Samsung, Sony or HTC are playing it well in the market with their top-end offerings. Other smartphone manufacturers such as Micromax, Karbonn and Lava have already got into the act of releasing smartphones with budget users in mind.
Now two smartphones that are fighting it out among the others in the market are the new Samsung Galaxy Core 2 and the previously released and the uber-popular Motorola Moto G. Both the devices now will once again look to rejuvinate the budget section of the market.
While it hasn't been long since Mahesh Khatri from Mahesh Telecom sent out a tweet suggesting that a new smarpthone, Galaxy Core 2, from Samsung would be launched in India soon, the Motorola Moto G has already been there and enjoying a lot of sales.

There's not much to choose from here since both the devices, as expected, come running the Google-based Android operating system. In fact, both of them have been fitted with the latest Android KitKat operating system.
Samsung Galaxy Core 2 Vs Motorola Moto G: Display and Dimensions
The Samsung Galaxy Core 2 sports a 4.5-inch TFT capacitive touch screen, while rendering 480 x 800 pixels resolution. The device's overall dimensions measure up to 130.3 x 68 x 9.8 mm, while it weighs in at 138g.
The Motorola Moto G, on the other hand, sports a similar 4.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touch screen, while rendering a greater 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. The device's overall dimensions measure up to 129.9 x 65.9 x 11.6 mm, while it weighs in at 143g.

The Samsung Galaxy Core 2, in terms of camera, offers a 5-megapixel primary camera, sporting a pixel resolution of 2592х1944 pixels, with autofocus and LED flash. There's also a secondary VGA camera at the front.

While the Motorola Moto G is equipped with a 1.2 GHz quad core cortex-A7 processor and Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset, its Samsung counterpart powers up the Galaxy Core 2 via a similar 1.2 GHz quad core processor.

The Samsung Galaxy Core 2, in this respect, offers quite the less 768MB of RAM, with the device arriving in a 4GB internal memory variant. However, there's the option to expand the device's memory further upto another 64GB via a microSD card.
The Motorola Moto G, on the other hand, offers 1GB of RAM while offering the device in 8GB and 16 GB internal memory variants. Again, there's no option to expand the device's memory as an external microSD slot for additional memory is missing.

While the Samsung Galaxy Core 2 has been priced at Rs. 11,900, the Motorola-made Moto G has been listed with a price tag of Rs. 12,499 and Rs. 13,999 for its 8GB and 16GB variants, respectively.

As you may see, both the smartphones have arrived as a perfect rival to each other. And that's because both of them offer more or less the similar kind of specifications. However, still one device will do better against the other in the long run.
If we are indeed required to pick a winner among the two, we have to give the benefit of the doubt to the still popular Moto G. The Moto G may not have the required space for memory expansion, but it still has a greater RAM and battery offering that the Samsung-made device. And that, according to us, will be enough to push the device across the line.
