Samsung Galaxy Core: Low Priced Smartphone Coming to Knock Off LG Optimus Dual SIM Range

Well, of course the tech world is all busy with the hypes and excitement related to the release of Samsung Galaxy S4 in various countries including India. But there may be many consumers, who must be sighing on their respective reasons for not being able to purchase the heavyweight, owning to its heavy price of Rs 41,500. But do not worry, as there is something for you to rejoice upon.

Here comes Galaxy Core first report for you! Yes, there is one more handset by the South Korean giant which will reach the tech arena soon. The dual SIM smartphone, codenamed GT-I8262 has recently been spotted in the wild.

Reported by GSMArena and first leaked by a Russian site, Samsung Galaxy Core has been speculated to feature a 4.3-inch WVGA (480×800) display, Android 4.1.2 with Samsung's TouchWiz, a Dual-Core CPU clocked at 1.2GHz, 768MB of RAM and a 5 Megapixel camera. Further, the Galaxy S4 look alike low priced smartphone is informed to come packed with 8GB of storage along with microSD card slot and also connectivity features including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.

Further, the dimensions of the Galaxy Core are believed to be around 129.3 х 67.56 х 8.95 and 140 grams weight. If rumors are to be belived, Samsung Galaxy Core will see the light in Russia and China in mid-May with a price tag of €320, which means around Rs 23,000.

Well, if this phone is released, it will come as a big threat to recently launched LG Optimus Dual SIM range launched in India and across the globe, which includes Optimus L3 2, L5 2 and L7 2. the prices are Rs 7,899, Rs 11,499 and Rs 14,990 respectively.

A Big Threat to LG Optimus Dual Range

As far as specifications are concerned, LG Optimus L3 2 comes with a 3.2-inch IPS LCD display, 5-mega pixel rear camera, powerful 1 GHz processor, 384 MB of RAM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, Dual SIM, A-GPS ,1540mAh battery, expandable memory expansion (up to 32GB ). The device supports Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

While, Optimus L7 2 sports a Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, 1GHz dual-core processor (powered by - Qualcomm MSM8225), 768 MB of RAM, 4GB of ROM, an expandable memory via micro SD card , a large 4.3-inch WVGA IPS LCD display, an 8-mega pixel rear camera with LED Flash and a VGA camera on the front panel for long video chat and lastly a promise of 2460mAh battery.

Lastly, Optimus L5 2 comes packed with the same Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, 4.0-inch WVGA display, 1GHz Cortex-A9, 5-mega pixels rear camera, 512 MB of RAM, Dual SIM, Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth 3.0, 1700mAh battery. The device will be powered by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. All three of these phones will be available in both Single-SIM and Dual-SIM variants.
