Samsung has already excelled in the smartphone business in most of the markets and in Indian context, the South Korean giant still stands as the ace player. Now the company has also made its new handset available in the market called the Galaxy S Duos 2. The device comes in a lower mid-range price category and is currently selling from one of the leading e-commerce sites, Infibeam at Rs. 10,730.
The device which comes in Black and White color variant features an average specs and is quite suitable to the Indian customers as it features Dual SIM and 3G support.
Going by the specs, the Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 comes with a 4-inch capacitive touch screen display offering a WVGA resolution of 480×800 pixels.
The device which is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor also includes a 768 MB RAM and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS.
Photography will be taken care of by its 5-megapixel rear camera which comes along with the LED flash. Also there is a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing snapper for selfies.
Connectivity options are regular with 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and aGPS support. While the device also features a Dual SIM support (GSM + GSM) with Dual Standby.
The internal storage capacity is rated at 4GB but the best part is that it houses a microSD card slot that supports up to 64GB of additional storage. The measures 10.57 mm thick and weighs 118 grams and draws its energy from a 1500mAh battery.
Samsung has not officially launched the device in the market as yet.
The device will surely have to face a lot of other new devices in the market which comes with pretty similar specs and price tags. However among all, Micromax Canvas Doodle A111, Xolo Q800, Karbonn Titanium S2, HTC Desire T329W X Dual SIM and Samsung Galaxy S Duos will be a tough competition to the newbie Galaxy S Duos 2. Micromax Canvas Doodle A111

The Xolo Q800 will come with a 4.5-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, 8MP rear camera with LED flash and BSI sensor, 1.2MP front camera for video calling, 1GB RAM, 4GB internal memory, 32GB expandable memory with a micro SD card slot, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and a 2,100 mAh battery.
Karbonn Titanium S2
Karbonn S2 Titanium houses a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen with 854 x 480 pixel resolution, 1.2GHz quad core processor, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, 8MP rear camera with autofocus and LED flash, 2MP front camera, 1GB RAM, 4GB internal storage, which can be expanded to up to 32GB via micro SD card, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G and a 2,100mAh battery.
HTC Desire T329W X Dual SIM
