Samsung has just announced its latest handset called Galaxy Grand 2. It comes as a successor to the previously launched Galaxy Grand handset. Since there are currently a number of devices being launched in most of the markets, Samsung's Galaxy Grand 2 will have to face a bitter challenges from most of the these devices. However, in India it will have to face the challenges from Micromax and Karbonn devices among others.

Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 Vs Karbonn Titanium S7 [Specs Comparison]

Recently Karbonn has already made its latest handset Titanium S7 available for pre-orders in the Indian market. The device is quite similar to the Galaxy Grand 2. Thus GizBot has come up with a comparative analysis between the specs of the two devices.

Display

The Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 comes with a 5.2-inch capacitive touch screen display offering a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. While the Karbonn Titanium S7 features a 5-inch display with OGS Technology offering a Full HD (1080x1920pixels).

Processor, RAM and OS

The Galaxy Grand is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1.5GB RAM and runs on Android v4.3 (Jelly Bean) OS. While the Indian Karbonn comes loaded with 1.5GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The company has not revealed the RAM so far. However, one can consider 1GB at least.

Camera

Talking about the imaging technology, Galaxy Grand 2 comes with an 8MP Auto Focus Camera with LED Flash and 2MP front-facing shooter. Here the Karbonn wins with its 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing snapper.

Connectivity

Both these devices come with regular connectivity options like 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. However, Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 also features GPS/GLONASS as well. However, both these devices come with a Dual SIM support.

Storage

There is a 8 GB internal memory present in Galaxy Grand 2 which is expandable up to 64GB with microSD. On the other hand, the Karbonn Titanium S7 comes with a 16GB inbuilt storage which can be further expanded up to 32GB with microSD card.

Battery

Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 draws its energy from a 2600 mAh battery. Sadly, Karbonn has not specified the Battery capacity of the handset.

Conclusion

The Karbonn Titanium S7 is currently up for pre-orders at the price of Rs. 14,999 on Flipkart. Sadly, there is no detail on the price of the Galaxy Grand 2 at the moment. There is also no detail pertaining to the Battery and RAM of the handset as well. But comparing the other aspects like camera and display, between the two handsets, it looks like Galaxy Grand will be loosing on most. Although the Galaxy Grand 2 is comparatively bigger than the Karbonn Titanium S7, the latter one comes with the better display quality. Even the camera of Titanium S7 is far more better than Galaxy Grand 2's. However, the handset beats Titanium S7 in a Android version. There will be more to talk about when the RAM and Battery will be disclosed.

So far looking at the specs, looks like Karbonn will win the device in the market as well.
