Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 Vs Xolo Q1100: The Best Deal At the Least Price
While the market, as of now, has been rocked by the entry of the latest budget-priced Motorola Moto G, there have been a number of devices that have been released with the (somewhat) same price tag in mind to compete against the new offering from Motorola.
As of now, smaller brands such as Xolo are also targeting the Moto G since its official global launch. But as it seems, Xolo might not be the only device that wants to try out its luck against the device, as Samsung is also looking to get into the race with its newest Galaxy Grand 2 offering - which is the successor to last year's mid-range best seller.
Diving deep into the Xolo dominion, the company recently announced its newest addition - dubbed Xolo Q1100 - into its already existing list of affordable mid-rangers with an attempt to spoil the party a bit for the Moto G.
But all that being said, leaving aside the Moto G factor, how do both these devices measure up against each other? Let's take a closer look at the offered specifications.
Operating System
This is a simple one since both the devices run on the Google-based Android operating system. Diving deep into both OSs on offer, both the Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 and Xolo Q1100 offer Android Jelly Bean v4.2 straight out of the box.

The Samsung Galaxy Grand 2, on the other hand, sports a similar 8-megapixel primary camera, again sporting a similar pixel resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels, with autofocus and LED flash. The device also has a secondary 1.9-megapixel camera on board that's more than enough for conducting video chats.
Processing Power
As far as processing power is concerned, both the devices, more or less, offer similarly decent hardware specifications that are capable of effectively powering the devices.

The Samsung-made Galaxy Grand 2 offers 1.5 GB of RAM while offering the device with 8 GB internal memory. Moreover, there's also the option to expand the device's memory up to 64GB as an external microSD slot for additional memory has been provided.
The Xolo Q1100, in this respect, offers 1GB of RAM while also arriving only in an 8 GB internal memory variant. However, similar to the Grand 2, there's the option to expand the device's memory up to 32 GB as an external microSD slot for additional memory has been provided.
Battery
As far as most juice offered to keep the devices lighted up are concerned, while the Samsung-made Galaxy Grand 2 offers a Li-Ion 2600 mAh battery, its Xolo counterpart comes fitted with a slightly lesser Li-Ion 2000 mAh battery.

Verdict
Seeing both the devices offering more or less the same kinds of features or specifications, you might be wondering as to how and why the Samsung offering has been priced more. Let us tell you that the feeling is mutual here are.
However, if you are indeed looking to grab a device sporting the similar kind of specifications, it seems like the Xolo Q1100 could be a better deal compared to the Grand 2.
