Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos Now Receiving Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Update in India

Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos has finally got much needed Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update. The update is now available via over-the -air as well as Kies desktop app. In a report by AndroidOS, Samsung has started to roll out the update.

The Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update will bring changes in the notifications settings, DayDream, Gesture Typing, Photo Sphere, Lock-screen widgets and performance tweaks among others. Moreover, expect some changes in the Touchwiz UI as well.


The update is quite heavy at 488.7 MB. Either way you can update your device: Automatically or Manually. If you are unable to update to update the device to Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, it's always better to go for manual setting option. Just go to Settings > About Phone >Software Update followed by update. Note: The Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos is non expandable to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

Galaxy Grand Duos Now Receiving Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Update

The Galaxy Grand duos, is a dual SIM Android based smartphone. It is one of the most popular phablet in India. The device comes with a 5-inch display having resolution of 800 x 480 Pixels. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor coupled with 1GB RAM and 8 GB ROM (expandable up to 64GB via a micro SD card). Other connectivity options include: 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and USB 2.0.

The makers have added a 2100mAh Li Ion battery. There's an 8MP rear facing camera and a 2MP front facing camera. The phone is now available for as low as Rs. 17,000 in the market. Stay tuned to GizBot for more updates.
