Samsung has been extremely successful in India in the mid-range handset market, with the company's second installment in the Galaxy Grand series, the Galaxy Grand 2, recently hitting Indian retail shelves.

 

Now we have started to hear that Samsung might introduce the Galaxy Grand Neo in India shortly.

 

Yes, you heard it right. The large screen phablet is all set to be made available through your nearest retail shop or online market place.

According to Mumbai-based retailer @MaheshTelecom, the Galaxy Grand Neo has been priced at Rs. 19,010, and will be available for a best price of Rs. 18,190. The information comes from a reliable and trusted Mumbai-based retailer, thus one can trust the source. Samsung hasn't introduced the Galaxy Grand Neo in Indian market just yet. For the reminder, the Galaxy Grand Neo went on sale in Netherlands last month for approximately Rs. 22,000.

The Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo, which will be announced for Indian market shortly, fits somewhere between the Galaxy Grand and the Galaxy Grand 2. Talking about its hardware specifications, the phone features a 5-inch WVGA display having a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels.

It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, backed by 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory, which is expandable up to 64GB via a microSD card slot.

The Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean powered device incorporates a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with Auto Focus and an LED Flash. There's a VGA-quality front-facing camera provided on the front too.

The makers have added a 2100mAh battery inside. Other connectivity options include: 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS. FM Radio, a 3.5mm headphone jack, amongst other features.

The Indian version of Galaxy Grand Neo will come with dual-SIM support, which could be its biggest selling point.

The handset will come with a free subscription to Club Samsung for first 3 months, @MaheshTelecom notes.
