Samsung has a very good understanding of the different smartphone markets that are operating in different parts of the world, including the one that's operating in India. And with that understanding in mind, the South Korean smartphone heavyweight has officially launched the Galaxy Grand Neo smartphone in India within a month of its global unveiling.
While the device is yet to be listed on the company's website and the official e-store as of now, the Galaxy Grand Neo has already been listed on several e-commerce websites around the Internet.
As far as in-device specifications are concerned, it seems like the device fits somewhere between the likes of Galaxy Grand and the Galaxy Grand 2. Nontheless, the new Galaxy Grand Neo features a 5-inch WVGA display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels.
Also, the Grand Neo is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Cortex-A7 processor, backed by 1GB of RAM. The device comes in two different 8GB and 16GB internal memory variants, which is expandable up to 64GB via an external microSD card slot.

Apart from that, the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean powered device, both of whose versions support dual-sim functionality, incorporates a 5-megapixel rear-facing primary camera with Auto Focus and an LED Flash. There's a VGA-quality front-facing camera provided on too for video chats and taking selfies.
Lastly, the South Korean makers have added a 2100mAh battery inside. Other connectivity options include: 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS. FM Radio, a 3.5mm headphone jack, amongst other features.

In terms of competition, it seems like the Galaxy Grand Neo will look to take on the likes of LG Optimus G Pro Lite Dual, Sony Xperia C, Micromax Canvas Turbo and Xolo Q3000.
